Val runs her own business in Devon and 'Activ-Dog' is her canine-logo.
Val has had spaniels all her life and began working them twenty years ago. When "Mouse" joined the team and won a Novice Working Test at North Devon in 2016, the scene was set for a growing interest in training and competition. Val began using massage as part of her preparation of the dogs to work or compete, finding it improved their performance and trust in her, as well as making them chill-out! Val trained with The College of Animal Physiotherapy, qualifying with distinction in Canine Sports-Massage. Val describes her return to a 'therapeutic' role as a great joy.
'My dogs do best when they are fit, well and happy. Massage is now part of my preparation for their training, working and competition roles’.
(In 2018 Mouse was reserve for the England Spaniel Team IWT).
